Simon's wife, Helen, commissioned a gift book to celebrate her husband's 25 years as organist and choirmaster at their church.

"I was very impressed. It's a marvellous gift and was a complete surprise. It was quite moving reading what other people think. There's a picture in there of my late grandfather that I'd never seen before - that was lovely. Simon's gift book consists of eight sections; a collage of photographs and other images personal to him; recollections of his musical friends and family; plus a specially conceived narrative strand that runs throughout. The pages are sepia craft card with warm brown mulberry tissue interleaves, all hand bound in linen-effect coated cotton with matching presentation case.
